Meditation, World Peace, & Seeing Spirit Guides

I decided to meditate tonight under the stars. The moon is a waxing crescent (06/27/2017) which means it is a perfect time to say thanks for what you have, as well as making requests for what you would like to attract into your life, or pose questions. People get wrapped up in the asking for things and then they spend the next thirty days doing things to discourage whatever IT is into their life. Then they get mad because they didn’t get what they asked for. It’s a vicious cycle people find themselves in constantly.

I like asking questions and I like waiting for the answers to appear. I feel less greedy and the answers typically guide me towards previously unfound insight.

world peace 3

So, while I was meditating… my mind did what most peoples minds do when they meditate; they talk to themselves about the dumbest crap. Peoples minds do this because we haven’t taken the time to learn how to control our own minds (much less anything else in our lives).

With patience, perseverance and self-love you can, in time, overcome this obstacle. Right now I am finding myself in a position where I catch myself talking to myself, or in imaginary situations that are entirely unreal, and I have the mind to stop myself. My biggest trick in overcoming the self talk, day-dream-esque imaginary stories, and experiences, is saying, “We can have this experience another time. Right now it’s time for me to bond with the universe.” Then I force my ears to listen for sounds, I let my muscles re-relax, I keep my eyes closed while also moving my eye balls upwards towards my third eye… and that is when it happens.

I manage to shut my mind up long enough to feel something I’ve never felt before I decided to start meditating. Each time I meditate the feeling is slightly different from every other one, but they’re all similar as well. It’s like love… there’s love for your mom, love for your pet, then there’s intimate love… they’re all different, but somewhat similar. This is the same thing and I don’t know how else to describe it than me “bonding with the universe.” I hate using the word God because then it creates this image of whatever that person thinks “God” looks like. I like saying universe because it’s something we can look at after the sun has set and it’s something we don’t fully understand in science either. But when you find yourself sitting under the stars at 1AM; there it is… the entire universe and we don’t really get it. For centuries our ancestors have been looking at the same stars feeling the same thing you feel when you look at it. There’s so much we don’t know.

So to all the things we don’t know; I reference the universe. Our species will die off and repopulate the earth having lost all the information gained since the beginning of recorded history. It will all start over again.

world peace 1

Mother Earth is a real living thing. It has always dealt with a virus in whatever way it had to. Humans, in my opinion only, are a virus. We are overpopulating, polluting and draining the planet of all its resources. If we continue on this path and haven’t managed to blow ourselves up with a nuclear bomb, or whatever fun gadget people think up in our future, the planet will kill us off however it needs to so it can repair itself.

In my meditation I remembered a time when I had an experience with my spirit guide. I blacked out at a friends house. Yes, you read that right, my eyes rolled into the back of my head and I fell straight onto my back. That friend thought I died. While I was blacked out I found myself in a foggy space. There was an iron table with an umbrella and two iron chairs. My spirit guide was dressed like he always was. He had a dark navy blue suit on, bronze colored buttons, zippers and cufflinks. He had his pocket watch in his pocket and the chain hanging out. He’s very distinguished in the face while still having facial hair and light colored eyes. In his beard, mustache and hair there are random collections of white hair. He’s aging but not old.

world peace 2

I didn’t recall how I got there nor did it ever cross my mind to ask those questions. I wanted to know how to make world peace real. (What made me ask that questions eludes me to this day.)

After a small discussion, he said, “World Peace is possible, but only if every person on earth agrees and maintains to be compassionate, kind, and considerate. They don’t all have to agree, or see eye to eye, but they must maintain peacefulness. They can’t give into the feelings of greed, jealousy or hate. Peace comes when you have understanding. If you’re truly compassionate, you will be able to understand where the other person/party is coming from. If you are truly kind you will treat others the way you want to be treated; with dignity and respect. If you are considerate, you won’t fail to show that you are thinking about more than just yourself. As simple as that may be… people forget that they want to be happy instead of angry, or fulfilled instead of satiated, or thankful instead of self-defeating. People forget because it is easier to lay blame and people think they are happy while beating others down. It makes others feel powerful when they have pushed a person down for their own desires. They forget that those negative feelings leads to guilt and karma, even though they provide immediate relief. Life in its entirety is a test of patience. Be patient, be still, and be thankful.”

I started hearing my name echoing in the background but I couldn’t tell who it was. I continued the discussion on world peace but whoever was screaming my name was getting louder. It made it hard to talk and I couldn’t hear my spirit guide over the sound of my name being screamed out numerous times.

Out of frustration I stood up from the chair and held my index finger up. I yelled as loud as I could, “Let me find out what’s going on and I’ll be right back. I have so many questions.” He shook his head and said “sure” with a sarcastic tone. I didn’t understand.

world peace 4

That’s when my eyes shot open. I found myself laying in a bed, my entire body from head to toe was covered in sweat droplets, I felt like I was freezing, my body was as stiff as a board, and my friend was looking into my eyes screaming my name. I had muscle aches for about a week after that experience. My body was in excruciating pain immediately after the experience.

I obviously blacked out for a medical reason that I never really figured out but maybe the universe used it as an opportunity to have a talk. I couldn’t argue with my spirit guides words. It made perfect sense to me. None of us need to change our interests, clothes, beliefs or anything… we just need to change how every single one of us deals with one another. We don’t have to agree, but we should live and let live. We should choose love over hate every time. That’s all there is to it.

I thank the universe for that vivid dream. I’ll never forget it.

Love & Light to you all.

The Longest Day Of The Year – Litha, Summer Solstice, Midsummer…

The summer solstice has connections with pagan faiths, ancient religions and metaphysical interpretations. Our ancestors celebrated it with fire and probably tons of beer! Celebrating the longest day and shortest night of the year isn’t very common anymore, but there isn’t any reason to avoid bringing it back. I enjoy celebrating the changes that accompany our mother earth.

2017’s Summer Solstice (Midsummer, Litha, St Johns Day…) is on Wednesday, June 21.

Unless of course, if you’re located in the southern hemisphere, then you would be experiencing Midwinter. 🙂

In many pagan faiths Litha is celebrated and recognized for being the complete opposite of Yule. It’s a day to celebrate the Sun Gods greatest day of strength. It overcomes the night whereas in the winter, Yule, the Moon Goddess has her day of greatest strength.

In modern day society there aren’t too many religions left celebrating the day of longest sunlight, but if you look into our ancestral past you will see that many religions over the decades worshipped the sun, especially on this day.

In the ancient Berber mythology of Africa a popular sun deity, also known as a solar deity, was Magec who was believed to be the mother or father (gender is unknown) of brightness. Magec was believed to possess radiance.

In Australian Aboriginal mythology Wuriupranili  was  a  traveling  Goddess whose torch  was  the  sun.

Aboriginal Wuriupranili

Arabian Mythology included Malakbel. The Aztecs had Tonatiuh, god of the sun and ruler of the heavens. Buddhist text includes a deity Surya, the deity of the sun (Suriya Pariththa, Suthra Pitaka, Pali canon, Theravada Buddhism). The Celts had a large variety of solar deities, but one of the most well known is Áine, Irish goddess of love, summer, wealth and sovereignty, associated with the sun and midsummer. Ra, god of the sun in the Egyptian pantheon is widely known as well.  Apollo, Olympian god of light, the sun, prophecy, healing, plague, archery, music and poetry, is well known in the Greek pantheon.

I could list for days all the solar deities if I had to, but long story short, somewhere in our blood lines our ancestors celebrated this day. It meant that the days were going to start to get shorter and lead us towards Yule. It is a time to truly get things together because when winter comes it will be much harder to work through the elements.

The summer solstice was converted into a Christian religion after a period of time (I couldn’t find an exact date on my search – if anyone knows it please feel free to share below). John the Baptists birthday crossed with the summer solstice apparently. So, the Christians turned it into St Johns Day so that converted pagans could still celebrate the summer solstice under the protection of their new found faith with their Lord Jesus Christ.

To this day there are Nordic Midsummer celebrations. Women wear white dresses, men wear light colored clothing, people wear rings of flowers in their hair and dance cheerfully around a pole decorated with greenery and flora. In ancient times they would sacrifice an animal and live for the day. Literally, because after that day they would start losing sunlight. As the sun sets they will light a giant bonfire to scare away the demons that are attracted to the depths of darkness. They drink, dance cheerfully and sing around the bonfire saying goodbye to their solar deity.

I will most likely be spending this day sitting around our decently sized fireplace in the yard and potentially having myself a drink to say goodbye to the long days. It will be my humble nod to those of my past who celebrated shamelessly knowing there would be many days full of hard work ahead.

Nordic Mid Summer Litha
What a Nordic Mid Summer Celebration partially looks like…

Even if you have no plans for this day, take a few moments to enjoy the sunlight wherever you may be and that night, take a step outside and observe the waning crescent moon. A few days after the moon will be New, meaning it will be completely dark and won’t be visible to our eyes.

I like to think that maybe its natures way of reminding us to live for the day, celebrate the things we have (sunlight in this instance) because they don’t last that great forever. Take a moment to BE IN the moment. Take a second to say thank you to whatever higher power you beleive in. Stop and smell the flowers in the garden department when you’re picking up groceries. Cross your legs, rest your palms and clear your mind, even if its just 2 minutes.

The year is flying by quickly and there are so many changes happening around us so quickly. I wish for you all to have a beautiful Midsummer night.

New Moon in Leo June 24, 2017

Leo Moon Female Release

As I’m writing this, we have ten days until the New Moon occurs. This will be the Strawberry New Moon; in correlation with the Full Moon we just had on June 9th.

Full Moon New Moon June 2017

The Full Moon on the 9th was in Sagittarius which encouraged us to release and let go of some emotional bondage we were experiencing in our life. It was an intense and transformative Full Moon that affected the tides within you, whether or not you really realized it.

Leo New Astrology Chinese Sign
Interesting Book that further explores Leo

As the New Moon occurs it will be shifting into Leo which means we are starting to feel the intensity of these emotions. They might lead us to great relief or deep anger and resentment. It is up to you as an individual to decide which path you will take. No one has control over your life except yourself; no one can set you free except yourself. It cannot be given to you.

Leo Moons can affect us by encouraging explosive glee or spontaneous outbursts. You will feel a tug towards adventure and experiencing something new. If you follow this feeling, it will lead you to a new outlook you have desperately been needing. Keep your sunny outlook on life, keep encouraging your friends and family, and most of all don’t forget to encourage yourself to be the best you, you can be.

Pride is a major issue for Leo’s and since the New Moon will be in Leo, it will play a part in the ego that exists in every single one of us. Is your pride helping or hindering you? Is your ego INFLATED or DEFLATED? Work on transforming the mind into something productive and useful for society; steer yourself away from materialism and false beliefs.

Leo’s are also very well known for theatrics. They are extremely entertaining to watch and are very boisterous when in a room of people. They do not hold their tongue and they do not worry about how the words affect others. As the New Moon enters Leo it will, in the darkness of night, encourage us to express some deep feelings and act out in ways we typically don’t. It’s fun when the audience is joyful but its disastrous when the audience is reacting in disgust; whoever that audience may be.

This New Moon should be fun though. Buddha taught a middle road. A balance between all things. I’m not perfect at this; I find myself swaying from one side of the road to the other (mentally anyways) all the time. I keep stones on me to help as reminders to bring my vocal tone down and to keep my chi centered. Have fun with this moon. Let go of the things that are holding you back in life, live and let live.

Transformations don’t always have to be chaotic.

Love & Light to you all.

Spiritual Interpretations of Total Solar Eclipses

Solar and Lunar eclipses have been happening longer than we know. Our ancestors had very specific spiritual interpretations of what a solar eclipse meant for us. I was curious and did some digging and below is what I found.

There are often times eclipses that we don’t hear about because they are partial or preumberal but total eclipses have never failed to amaze us.

There have been studies showing changes in water and plants during solar eclipses which leads scientists and spiritualists alike to believe there is a change in human bodies during solar eclipses. These changes might have inspired many of these spiritual beleifs.

Hindu Eclipse Beleifs

There is a beleif that a transisting planet will evoke energy from a total solar eclipse starting a year beforehand and up to two years afterwards. According to Hindu beleifs we can oftentimes locate a major life change around the time of a total eclipse due to a change of energy within our world.

Hindu’s beleive that during the time of a total eclipse they should bathe in holy waters, do charitable acts like feeding brahmins and sadhu’s (here in America, try feeding the homeless or doing something charitable for the needy), and beleive that it is important to clean their home after the eclipse has passed to cleanse it of negative energy.

They also recommend not eating before or during the eclipse. Once the eclipse has started they beleive that they should be completely empty of food, all food should be digested. They fast until after the solar eclipse has passed. Typically they will bathe in holy waters or take showers to spiritually cleanse themselves.

Hinduism also encourages not having sex on the day of the eclipse as the child might not make it through the pregnancy or will be born with health defects. Along the same beleifs they encourage pregnant women to stay inside and avoid sunlight the entire day.

They beleive that doing Japa during the eclipse will encourage positive energy and help alleviate the suffering our world experiences. What is Japa? Japa (sanskrit: जप) is the act of meditating and repeating a mantra or a divine name over and over again. They can do this softly aloud to themselves or do this within their own mind. Hindu’s beleive that during this during the total eclipse will give you blessings from the Gods. They encourage the Japa take place in a body of water and that the mantra be repeated as much as possible.

The sages  of Hindu’s past and present might have been onto something. Either way, it’s never a bad time to meditate and pray for the world. Sharing kindness and love is always an appropriate thing to do whether or not an eclipse is happening.

Mayan Eclipse Beliefs

The Mayans beleived that what happens in the stars is a communication from the Gods to us here on earth. Astrology is an important part of many different cultures around the world. The Mayans took astrology very seriously and political/social choices were made based on the movement of the planets. They aligned farming practices with the movements of the stars and planets above.

In Mayan culture, their astrologers were preists. These astrologers had an immense amount of power over society and their government because of their ability to predict what the skies were going to do. In their beleifs, the Sun is the most important part of our galaxy and they beleived it was the main object that gave life to earth. They associated the sun as a male deity and the moon as a female deity.

Mayans took preparing for the eclipse extremely seriously. The eclipse was tumultuous and stressful on their culture. They beleived the moon was able to eat the sun.

Unfotunately, not too much is known about their beleifs since many missionaries burned them in the 1600s.

Vikings Interpretation of an Eclipse

In Nordic traditions the apocalypse (also called Ragnarok) is to be brought on by two wolves named Skoll and Hati. They beleived that during the procession of an eclipse the wolves were bringing on Ragnarok. They would make as much noise as possible towards the sky to scare off the wolves.

There are a large variety of eclipse beleifs around the world. Whatever your beleifs are, remember to stay kind, wear protective eye wear and thank the universe for the goodness it provides.

Have a happy total solar eclipse!

Moons, Mythology & Gardening for June 2017 – Zone 2

Plant Hardiness Zones US DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map

I live in Zone 2 (Arizona) so my collage below is just a collection of info handy to my zone. Hopefully this information will be handy and helpful to you. If you live in, around or near Arizona hopefully this will be a good little guide for your homestead. I’m gonna cover the details in the collage below; moons, plants, crops, hydroponics, plant pests, transplanting, flowering plants and when to set eggs and what it means to set eggs.

I’m only covering the month of June in 2017 at this time. We’ll go over future months as they come up. It’s already the 4th (so I’m a little late – oops) but there’s still a lot coming up for the remainder of the month.

1496627408860

JUNE – Where did “June” come from?

So first thing, let’s discuss the word “June” and how it creates the name of the month. According to the farmers almanac it states

“from the goddess of women, marriages and childbirth, and wife of Jupiter.”

According to answers.com it comes from Roman Goddess Juno. It makes sense since they sound similarly. Goddess-Guide.com explains that “Juno” was the Goddess of marriage, pregnancy and childbirth. It also makes sense that it’s a month included with the end of spring and beginning of summer, since that’s when the natural world usually procreates, spreads its seed, has babies, blossoms and so on…

The Capitoline triad includes Juno, Minerva and Jupiter. She played the Roman example of the traditional mother and the roles females played during that time period.

It’s recorded that she was the patron Goddess of the Royal Mint; if you’re experiencing financial troubles I suggest speaking to her on the full moon or while it’s waxing (that means before the 9th!)

Juno also has made June the perfect month to get married since she represents the household; its the luckiest month to get married according to her mythology.

During this month she also is a reminder to consider the positive and negative aspects of our personalities; focus on your leadership skills and loyalty in relationships both romantic and friendly. Remember to not let the negative emotions get hold of you and cause negative consequences; such as jealousy and vindictiveness.

If you have a pagan altar consider placing peacock feathers on it or images of geese; these are said to be her sacred birds. The sacred plant is the wild fig tree; figs have long ben symbols of fertility and childbirth and renewal. This is also the perfect time to find them fresh in the grocery store and enjoy them. Juno’s archetype included the companion and the Queen. Think to yourself if you’re being a good companion to the person you are with now. What can you do to strengthen your bond with him/her? As the Queen of your domain, are you ruling is fairly? Are you owning your strengths with humility and doing not just what’s best for you, but also others?

June Moon Phases 2017 – How do the moons affect us this month?

          Full Moon

For the month of June the moon is commonly named the “Strawberry Moon.” The name comes from the annual harvesting of strawberries during this month, coined by the Algonquin tribe. Europeans call it the “Rose Moon” since this is the month the roses start blooming like crazy in their part of the world. There are some cultures that call it the “Hot Moon” because, well… it’s strikingly HOT. Here in Tucson today, as I was driving through town, around noon, I noticed the temperature gauge on my car read the outside was 103 Degrees Fahrenheit!

As of right now (6/4/2017) the moon is in Libra. During this phase of the moon we probably feel like we need to orchestrate order into our lives and patch up relationship holes. Remember to take deep breaths and allow yourself to rest a bit.

June 9th, the moon will be full, and it will be in Sagittarius. While in Sagittarius it will influence us to feel more optimistic and generally content. Sagittarius is a fire sign which means it’s a perfect time to contribute towards your passions, be creative, color in a coloring book, make some crafts off your Pinterest board, take photographs, etcetera… whatever sparks your creative mind; PURSUE IT. The weather should be fairly tolerable, flowers are blossoming, the grass is a deep green, the sky is blue… you might feel the need to wander. I encourage you to do it! Explore some natural places, meditate under a tree on the grass and listen to the birds, wander aimlessly through a city; do whatever your soul desires. Don’t forget to be mindful of possible negatives; just because you know something doesn’t mean you should force it on others. There are always a million different ways to accomplish the same thing, people learn at their own paces and when you feel the urge to shove someone out of the way to do it yourself…. stop. Take a step back and release that need to control. It’s better to keep the peace and be patient.

New Moon – We can’t see the moon, but it’s still there…

On June 23rd, 2017, the moon will be in Cancer; some deep emotional issues might resurface and inspire some negative feelings. Take a moment of compassion when you feel that negative energy rising in your chest. Some things are good to hold onto, and some things are meant to be let go of. Pick your battles wisely; not only with others but also with yourself. Work on your self-relationship and start being your own biggest cheerleader. Every time you catch yourself saying you can’t or never will, change it to you can and you will. Make a plan if you have to. Lift yourself up… we’re all capable and all have the same potential as anyone else.

Moon is close to Jupiter on June 3rd, 2017.

You will be able to observe Jupiter near the moon for a few days more after the 3rd.

Moon will be closer to Saturn on June 9th, 2017.

June 9th will be a full moon and its light will be extremely bright making it harder to see some stars. Keep your eyes open though because you should be able to spot Saturn.

           Plant Above Ground Crops on June 3rd – 7th, 24th and 25th, 2017.

Above ground crops include broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussels sprouts and kale. All of these vegetables produce their crops on the above ground parts of their plants. You can include strawberries, blackberries and literally anything where its CROP grows ABOVE GROUND.

         Plant Root Crops on June 11th, 12th, 16th and 17th, 2017.

Root crops include beets and carrots, potatoes and sweet potatoes, as well as the leaves of root crops; such as beet tops. Root Crops are literally any plants whose crops grow UNDERGROUND.

         Tend Hydroponics on June 16th, 17th, 24th and 25th, 2017.

If you’re a fan of marijuana, you might have heard of hydroponic weed and how great it is! But you must know, marijuana isn’t the only plant you can grow hydroponically. Many different fruits and vegetables create robust crops after being grown hydroponically. Hydroponics is the process of growing plants in water, no soil, and all nutrients are added by using a concentrated liquid solution. Sometimes gravel or perlite are used; depends on how the farmer has his hydroponic system set up.

        Control Plant Pests on June 18th, 19th, 22nd and 23rd, 2017.

There is an entire wiki-how on HOW to control plant pests so I won’t go into too much detail.

I am curious on how they come up with those dates. What I learned is they gather these dates based on insect actions that are affected by the moon. The dates aren’t exact but they should be pretty close to accurate.

Another tip I have, buy containers of live ladybugs and let them free in your garden. Lady bugs are fantastic at killing unwanted pests; they live off of them for food.

Transplant Seedlings on June 3rd through the 7th, 2017.

Here’s a Farmers Almanac entry on how to properly transplant seedlings. Instead of taking the plants straight from their little starter pods and right into the hot heat of the outdoors you will want to gradually help them with this change. It can send them into shock which will cause your crops to suffer. Plants are living breathing organisms and suffer from stress just like we do if not handled properly. One way to make this easy for them is to do the transplant early in the morning or late in the evening when the sun is setting. You won’t want to do this in the heat of the day, not just for the plants sake, but also for your health. Heat stroke SUCKS!

Plant Flowers on June 24th and 25th, 2017.

Late in the month of June, around the 24th and 25th, the temperature in Zone 2 should drop a little and welcome the monsoons. The rain will help the flowers flourish and the temperatures should ease them into their new environment. While you enjoy watching your flowers bloom you will also get to enjoy the swarm of monsoon storms (if you’re in Arizona that is a for sure thing!)

      Set Eggs on June 3rd, 4th, 11th and 12th, 2017.

If you are raising chickens from eggs, you will want to set them into the incubator on June 3, 4, 11, and 12th. You can also have eggs set by using a broody hen and allowing them to sit on the eggs. Modern Farmer has a fantastic and detailed article on how to incubate chicken eggs if you need further information.

Well that’s all I have at the moment. Let’s see how this month goes. I’ll update this page as the month unfolds. I am extremely eager to see the monsoons come in. I love floating in the pool and watching the clouds fly by.

I am eager for the full moon too as well. My altar space really needs a good cleaning and I’ll be happy to let the stones and crystals bathe in moon light.

Have a lovely and fruitful June! Love & Light to you all.

Scarab Symbolic Meaning & Message

Scarab Banner

Today as I was getting in my pool I saw a black bug floating in it. I fished it out and it landed on the patio. It looked dead… the legs were flopped to the side and it was on its back completely lifeless. I thought to myself that I’d clean it up when I got out of the pool and let it deteriorate and end its life cycle somewhere else.

About an hour or two later as I was getting out of the pool I noticed the beetles legs were moving. It was coming back to life… it shoved itself around the tile patio and got itself off its back and back onto its feet.

I wondered why I didn’t just help it onto its feet and make things a bit simpler but Ross insisted that letting it fight for its life a little is the essence of life itself. I did the hard part… got it out of the pool before it drowned to death… it had to fight for the rest. I had to stand back and allow it to struggle back to life.

It was so odd… after it got back onto its feet it walked around on the tile and seemed to look at us every now and again. I don’t know if it was cursing me for not helping it onto its feet or if it was sending me blessings for saving it from the depths and chlorine of the pool.

I caught it on camera the last few moments I saw it before it found safety and security under our patio furniture.

Part of me feels like the Gods are ringing my past connection to Kemeticism. Like, maybe they’re trying to lure me back into their arms. 🙂

Scarab Egyptian Art

Metaphysical Interpretations of the Scarab Beetle

According to the Universe of Symbolism the scarab beetle is here to present a path to me; I can continue down the road I’m on or I can explore and understand a much deeper spiritual path. The scarab brings the gifts that come with the idea of eternity and the cosmic forces that are behind it all. It sparks creativity and allows your imagination to run with you. Lastly, the scarab is to teach us about astral travel and sacred knowledge.

I’ll say I have been delving quite deeply into my faith recently. I spend hours studying and learning as much as I can about the metaphysical aspects of our reality. I just really love learning about the things that science can’t comprehend. I love seeing how our spiritual mindset can have a huge affect on us at a molecular level, and watching this knowledge unravel as quickly as technology advances (pretty darn fast lol).

The scarab is supposed to signify an extremely important time in my life where large decisions will be made. I have to make a life changing decision… the scarab is beckoning me to join it on a long spiritual journey.

When seeing a scarab you should try to find a new and unique way to express your true self. As you give into the quest that the scarab offers you will be exposed to information that is only held in the cosmos. It will reveal the primordial hidden nature within you.

Also, there is a huge encouragement to meditate so that the cosmos can reveal this information.

I do need to meditate more regularly. At the moment I meditate every full moon and every new moon. I need to turn it into a daily practice. 🙂

Lastly, it recommends getting a scarab item of some sort to keep on you as a reminder.

I found a cute scarab pendant on Amazon… I think I might buy it. It’s turquoise! Pretty 🙂

ALL NATURAL & EFFECTIVE Bartholin Cyst Remedy

WARNING: This blog post includes adult images of a Bartholin cyst (cyst located on the vagina) and female genitalia anatomy.

goldenseal

Bartholin Cysts are extremely painful and are known to come back repeatedly for years even after being drained by a physician. What the doctors aren’t telling you is that there is an herbal remedy that can take care of your cysts without having painful needles inserted into your vaginal area. There is an herbal poultice you can make for fairly cheap that will open the Bartholin gland naturally and help remove the liquids inside of it.

goldenseal 1

First, you want to know for sure that what you have is a Bartholin cyst. Bartholin’s cyst is the name for the fluid-filled lump that can appear and close off the ducts of the Bartholin glands. The Bartholin glands are located on each side of the vaginal opening and are responsible for secreting lubricating fluid into the vagina.

This Bartholin cyst can cause a few different symptoms including pain in the site of the cyst, fatigue, anxiety, depressed moon, insomnia and inability to get comfortable due to its location. The most common treatments for the symptoms include pain killers, injecting the cyst with a needle and draining it (which can be EXTREMELY and excruciatingly painful) as well as sitz baths and even depression medication in other cases.

Example of where and what a Bartholin Gland Cyst looks like

Poultices have been used for centuries to aide in the healing of wounds and illnesses. We have pulled away from them due to the encouragement of pharmaceutical companies. They make much more money doing painful procedures and selling you prescription chemical medication, that don’t always work, than they do selling herbs.

If you suffer from Bartholin gland cysts and need a remedy I sincerely encourage treating it with a goldenseal poultice.

You can purchase goldenseal here at Amazon for $18.77 or you can find it at your local health store, GNC, Sprouts, Whole Foods and etcetera. I personally use the Nature’s Way Goldenseal Root, 570 mg, 100 Capsules

You can also use the Nature’s Answer Alcohol-Free Goldenseal Root, 1-Fluid Ounce for $14.54 which is already in liquid form and really simplifies the process. The only reason I don’t use the liquid is it will expire before I am able to use all of it. The capsules up above have a longer shelf life which means its less likely any of it will get wasted, and I will get my moneys worth. But if that doesn’t matter to you the fluid really makes treating your cyst quite a bit easier.

If having an organic product is important to you, there is also the Herb Pharm Certified Organic Goldenseal Extract for Respiratory System Support – 1 Ounce for $10.67. I know it says for respiratory system but it can be used as a poultice to treat your Bartholin cyst

So now that you have your main product, you will also need access to a sink, a small bowl to mix your poultice in, some gauze and some clean fresh underwear (which will help hold the gauze in place).

Also, I suggest doing this during nighttime and sleeping with the poultice on. If the poultice works properly, it will open the cyst up and drain it of its gunk; not an experience you want to go through when you are at work or walking around the mall and what not. Also, walking at all with a giant piece of gauze stuck between your vaginal lips really isn’t comfortable. If you want to prevent making a mess on your sheets and mattress I suggest laying down a towel or wearing a menstrual pad to catch the liquids from your cyst.

STEP ONE:

If you purchased the powder capsules go ahead and open up 3 to 4 capsules into your small bowl. Mix it with two to three droplets of water (for added strength you can use <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ID6MIC/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B001ID6MIC&linkCode=as2&tag=denisedodge23-20&linkId=bc494adaeb220fd05d8f38f3e2b35c91″>Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, 16 Ounce – 1 Pack</a><img src=”//ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=denisedodge23-20&l=am2&o=1&a=B001ID6MIC” width=”1″ height=”1″ border=”0″ alt=”” style=”border:none !important; margin:0px !important;” /> instead of water if you have it on hand) You might have to add extra water to soak all of the powder and make it wet. If its wet it will be easier to absorb the medicine into the skin and gland causing it to open up naturally and release its toxins.

If you purchased the extract you don’t have to mix anything. Go ahead and open your bottle up.

STEP TWO:

Clean your vaginal area and the cyst as best as you can with some soap and water. Dry it off well before continuing to the next step.

STEP THREE:

gauze

Prepare a small square of gauze the size of your cyst and soak it in the water/powder mixture you created in your small bowl.

If you have the extract go ahead and put some droplets of the extract onto the gauze. I’d say maybe somewhere between 3 and 5 drops of extract. (Cover the gauze with extract so it will cover your cyst but don’t put so much extract that its dripping off of the gauze either.)

STEP FOUR:

Place the gauze onto your cyst in between your vaginal lips. Try to place it in the spot that seems most tender (that is most likely where your Bartholin Gland is and we need that gland to open naturally and relieve itself of its toxins).

STEP FIVE:

Put your under wear on then put your extracts & powders away. The extract and powder WILL temporarily dye surfaces so be sure to clean it up well so you don’t have some unsightly yellow stain on your countertop for a week.

STEP SIX:

Go to sleep. Lay in a comfortable position that is most relaxing to you. Keep that gauze in place in between your legs. When you wake in the morning the cyst should have opened itself up and drained. You might need to repeat the process a few times but its far less painful than having a gynecologist sit in between your legs and poke with your vagina with painful needles.

sleep

Use the medicines the world has provided… the universe always provides.

Please feel free to comment below if this worked for you, or if it didn’t. Do you have a different process for dealing with Bartholin cysts? Have you tried this poultice on cysts other than the Bartholin gland?

Love and Light to you all. Take care!

One Great Way To Make EXTRA CASH

money wall paper 5 dollars

Observa Logo

Observa is an app that PAYS YOU to go check things out on behalf of different companies. Many of the locations you will be working (if you decide to try this app out anyways) are places you most likely shop at anyways. Some of the jobs I’ve had for instance were Target, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Wal Mart and so on. I’ve been using this app since last November for some extra pocket cash and I’ve enjoyed it very much.

I can truly and honestly say that I haven’t had any issues with Observa. As long as you read your directions thoroughly and do the tasks as well as possible, you should have no problems getting paid.

I use a few other apps as well but I can’t say I’ve had as much success with them as I have Observa. For instance, another app I tried is called ISecretShop. The pay LOOKS phenomenal compared to Observa. They’re offering $10 to $30 per secret shop. I felt like I hit a jackpot when I found this app. Unfortunately, after doing three of the mystery shops, and not getting paid, I decided not to do any more for them until I get paid. To this day, I haven’t gotten paid. I followed all the directions, filled out the W9, signed the release forms, etcetera…. they tell me everything is great and dandy and I’ll get paid soon…. three months later they still haven’t paid me. So I gave up on it and chucked it in the fuck-it-bucket. Sorry ISecretShop, you failed me. But, I haven’t had that disappointment with Observa.

For instance, today I did three secret shops at $6.77 a piece, I got all three done in an hour, and received pay in my PayPal an hour after I was done with them all. Wam bam! All in the same day. I haven’t found another app that pays SO quickly. Rarely, they don’t pay out until the next day, but like I said, RARELY. Not to mention, today is Memorial Day…. someone somewhere is working on a holiday to send me my pay pal cash and I appreciate it.

Now, you’re not going to become a millionaire doing jobs on apps like this and yes, there are days here and there where they have no shops to get done. But if you’re out shopping anyways and you have to stop at one of the stores listed, why not make a few bucks while you’re at it?

Visit Observa’s website and try it out. You don’t have to pay anything to join. The app is completely and entirely free. All you have to do is download the app, accept your first job, follow the easy instructions, and USUALLY within 5 to 10 minutes you’re completely done. All you have to do then, is wait for them to send you your cash via pay pal. (Pay pal does NOT charge a fee to transfer your balance to a bank account, so NO money wasted.)

Observa Logo

Below are some screen shots from my phone so I can acquaint you with some of the features on the app.

This first screen shot shows you what you’ll see when you first open the app. I live in Tucson so a map of Tucson pops up. Wherever you are, your GPS will connect to it and find observations that need to be done in your area.

I finished all the observations earlier today, and it is midnight while I write this as you can see LOL but there is one job to be done. If you see a red tag (like in the image below) you may click on it and accept the job if you desire. I personally live very far away from Sierra Vista so I won’t be accepting that job.

Observa Screen Shot 4

In this screen shot you see a list of all jobs available to be done in the country. Yes, ALL JOBS in the country. Pay close attention to WHERE the job is. As you can see Sierra Vista is 77 miles away from me, that’s why I won’t be doing it. But, most likely, tomorrow there will be more jobs available closer to where I am.

Observa Screen Shot 3

In this next screen shot, this is the My Opps tab. It shows all the Opps or Opportunities that I’ve already completed. If it hadn’t been paid yet it would show that, but as you can see I’ve been paid for all the jobs I’ve completed thus far.

Observa Screen Shot 2

This next screen shot shows you what pops up when you select the three bars at the top left corner of the screen. Now, instead of saying @gmail.co.. it will say whatever email you use to create your account. I erased my email from the screen shot for privacy.

In the preferences section is where you would update if you only wanted the app to search for jobs near a zip code or if you wanted it to search no matter where you are located in the country and so on…

Observa Screen Shot 1

If you’re still interested in this easy way to make a little extra cash feel free to stop by and check their app out by clicking on this link. It will take you straight to Observa. Have a great day everyone!

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

UPDATE: Below is a screenshot sample of what kind of preview you get before accepting the job. It says where its at, what brand you’ll be working with, and more.

I’ve done enough of these to know if I accepted the job I’d probably take some photos, record how much the item costs and how many they have in inventory on the shelf. (Thats really how most of the jobs go.)

Yoga, Meditation and Healing

The Science and Spirituality of Meditation – a documentary that offers perspective on how meditation affects the psychological, physical and spiritual aspects of the human body. The documentary was filmed over a five year period where they traveled and interviewed many different people of different standing and experiences to understand their relationship and ideas on meditation. The documentary is intended to be an unbiased presentation of meditation in general. Filmed by G Productions. Available for viewing on Amazon Fire Stick as of May 24, 2017.

science and spirituality of meditation

We live in a time where we rely on science to explain everything. If science cannot explain it there is a chance we won’t take it seriously. Unfortunately, science can’t explain everything… at least not at the moment.

This documentary not only wants to help understand the scientific part of meditation but also the religious beliefs that accompany it.

Professor Fahri Saatcioglu from the University of Oslo (Department of Molecular Biology) explains that meditation is not just mental contemplation and visual thinking, it has an effect on the molecular structure and DNA encrypted in our bodies.

Dr Frederick Hecht, MD from the University of California San Francisco (Professor of Medicine) states that meditation has a direct effect on the cytokine genes in human tissue.

Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India – documentary visits an ashram outside of the city to discuss with attendees how meditation has directly affected them and their life. There are a few people there infected with HIV and they believe that meditation is helping them heal from this sickness. The man that leads the ashram is Guru Siyag. He believes that the meditation heals because it actives their kundalini. He states the kundalini lays dormant until it is awakened, which he assists with, and forces the kundalini to stand upright and awaken. He explains that in their philosophy of yoga the Sage Patanjali describes eight purposes of Yoga;

  1. Yama – ethics and moral code
  2. Niyama – study and self purification
  3. Asana – the yoga postures practiced
  4. Pranayam – the control of breath during yoga and all other activities
  5. Pratyahar – control of the senses
  6. Dharna – your intentions
  7. Dhyan – meditation
  8. Samadhi – thought and contemplation
Eight Limbs of Yoga
Eight Limbs of Yoga

In yoga, the movements are all regulated by induced by the awakened kundalini. The kundalini sparks all the functions of the human body and helps them develop into something more productive and helpful.

Guru Siyag also believes that within all of us lies a feminine source of energy which he calls the kundalini. This kundalini is visualized to look like a serpent with its tail in its mouth and as the kundalini awakens it unravels and starts working its way up the direction of the spine. As it travels each chakra slowly awakens and is activated.

Different faiths have a variety of beliefs on how to awaken the kundalini but this particular ashram believes it can be awakened with the assistance of a spiritual guru, who in this documentary is Guru Siyag.

Guru Siyag India

Many followers in this movie explain that they all experience involuntary movements when their kundalini was awakened and had no physical control over them. Their bodies would bounce, twist, stretch and move in ways they claim they didn’t do intentionally. They all believe that it is the functioning of the kundalini moving up along the spine towards the highest chakra which connects us to the universe as a whole.

In India the belief in meditation and the abilities of spiritual guru’s is so heavy that even physicians in the area recommend the Guru to help heal them of their illnesses; specifically in this documentary they state the Guru can help cure them of HIV.

One man claims he was advised by a physician to see the guru and practice meditation. He said that knowing he was going to die from HIV he saw no other choice than to give it a try. He claims that each day he meditated his illness and symptoms slowly started to disappear. He felt better as each day passed. The man provides documentation on film of his medical records showing the test results and also showing that he refused treatment from the doctor because of his faith in meditation as a cure.

San Fransisco California

San Francisco, California, USA – The visited San Francisco to talk about the biological effects that occurs during meditation and yoga. The Professor and Physician are trying to understand what we can do to maintain our health in ways that medication can’t do.

Dr Frederick Hecht, MD (Professor of Medicine, University of California San Fransisco) has seen that which meditation there is an effect on the cytokine gene that resides in tissue. He is aware that sometimes the state of mind can have a direct effect and create changes in the state of human body. These changes effect one another by allowing certain genes to be more expressed or activated.

Cytokine Gene.jpg
Image of a Cytokine Gene

Genes are what define how we are built and structured. Genes are the deciding factors in what diseases we can inherit and/or develop.

They did studies of meditation using people who were overweight and during these studies they observed direct changes happening on the genes of those patients while meditating. They observed more response to diet and exercise if meditation was included in their health regimen. The genes being affected were those that control inflammatory response.

Oslo Noway.jpg

Oslo, Norway – There is a professor in Oslo Norway that has been studying the genetic effects of meditation and yoga that the documentary goes on to visit.

Professor Fahri Saatcioglu (Department of Molecular Biology, University of Oslo) explains the reason he decided to investigate the effects of meditation is because he learned of the genetic changes happening during studies of meditation. He wanted to understand it further – how it effects us on a molecular level.

The studies Professor Saatcioflu observed directly included people who learned and participated in a yoga program that included gentle yoga postures, powerful breathing exercises called prana yam and meditation. They practice this for two hours once a week.

They included another controlled regimen which was a one hour walk and a one hour of listening to music to the program to observe their effects as well.

They took blood from the patients, isolated the immune cells, then compared the gene expression patterns before and after the above listed practice for the controlled regimen. Based on the blood they collected they observed that there were approximately 4x more genes affected by the yogic practice than the controlled regimen listed above.

Meditation and Yoga directly affects our gene expression which is more than gentle exercise can do.

Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India – The documentary visits back in India to follow up with a follower of Guru Siyag, named Buddha Ram ji, to find out how the HIV recovery is going which happens to be 4 years after the initial interview. He states that he he has “become aware of the reality” after connecting with Guru Siyag. He says that meditation and yoga has helped him become more mentally and physically stronger. He is now running 10 KM in 44 minutes. He states he is still HIV + and hasn’t taken medication for many years AND hasn’t visited a doctor for the illness. He states that he didn’t believe Guru Siyag at first but continued meditating because he had no other choice and thought he was going to die. He now believes that meditation is the answer for all problems. He states that during meditation he undergoes “khichari mudra” where his tongue rolls up and goes to the pharynx which leads to a cold sensation throughout the entire body.

Guru Ram lal ji Siyag (at the time of the movie 89 years old) teaches Siddha Yoga Meditation completely free of charge. His only goal in life is to help people.

The film was created by Chayan Vinayak Goswami.

Five Tibetan Rites

The Five Tibetan Rites were written about in 1939 by Peter Kelderin a publication he wrote called The Eye of Revelation. He states that the movements are over 2,500 years old and is a form of Tibetan Yoga.

It didn’t originate in India apparently but is quite similar in many ways. The most common similarity is it’s continuous movement and the health is provides for your physical and mental self.

Whats intereting is that there is very little known about Kelderin but it is rumored that he was adopted in the mid-west and ran away from home in his teens to find adventure. In the 1930s it’s said that he met a military General who shared his knowledge of the rites.

In The Eye of Revelation Kelderin shares that while the General was on his travels he met some Lamas who were aware of the Fountain of Youth. According to the story he was informed of seven spinning vortex’s in the human body while he was learning the rites at the monastery. He was told that as humans age the vortex’s vibration or spin slows down and doesn’t work as well as when we were younger.

Through years of research and curiosity the closest thing we can find to the 5 Tibetan Rites are the Tibetan ‘phrul ‘khor exercises which are called Vajra Body Magical Wheel Sun and Moon Union in English (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་ལུས་ཀྱི་འཕྲུལ་འཁོར་ཉི་ཟླ་ཁ་སྦྱོར) No matter what the background is or where it truly came from, it’s the result of these practices that are most interesting.

People have claimed that when practicing these rites every day (approximately ten minutes a day) have experienced a reversed reaction to aging, a loss of gray hair, increased energy, stress reduction, calmness, increased strength and flexibility as well as a clear mind.

Five Rites Warning

According to the book the five rites are as follows:

FIRST RITE:

“Stand erect with arms outstretched, horizontal with the shoulders. Now spin around until you become slightly dizzy. There is only one caution: you must turn from left to right.” A tip for this is to look at the end of your right hand as a reference point.

SECOND RITE:

“Lie full length on rug or bed. Place the hands flat down alongside of the hips. Fingers should be kept close together with the finger-tips of each hand turned slightly toward one another. Raise the feet until the legs are straight up. If possible, let the feet extend back a bit over the body toward the head, but do not let the knees bend. Hold this position for a moment or two and then slowly lower the feet to the floor, and for the next several moments allow all of the muscles in the entire body to relax completely. Then perform the Rite all over again.”

“While the feet and legs are being raised it is a good idea also to raise the head, then while the feet and legs are being lowered to the floor lower the head at the same time.”

THIRD RITE:

“Kneel on a rug or mat with hands at sides, palms flat against the side of legs. Then lean forward as far as possible, bending at the waist, with head well forward—chin on chest. The second position of this Rite is to lean backward as far as possible. Cause the head to move still further backward. The toes will prevent you from falling over backward. The hands are always kept against the side of the legs. Next come to an erect (kneeling) position, relax as much as possible for a moment, and perform Rite all over again.”

FOURTH RITE:

“Sit erect on rug or carpet with feet stretched out in front. The legs must be perfectly straight — back of knees must be well down or close to the rug. Place the hands flat on the rug, fingers together, and the hands pointing outward slightly. Chin should be on chest — head forward.”

“Now gently raise the body, at the same time bend the knees so that the legs from the knees down are practically straight up and down. The arms, too, will also be vertical while the body from shoulders to knees will be horizontal. As the body is raised upward allow the head gently to fall backward so that the head hangs backward as far as possible when the body is fully horizontal. Hold this position for a few moments, return to first position, and RELAX for a few moments before performing the Rite again.”

“When the body is pressed up to complete horizontal position, tense every muscle in the body.”

FIFTH RITE:

“Place the hands on the floor about two feet apart. Then, with the legs stretched out to the rear with the feet also about two feet apart, push the body, and especially the hips, up as far as possible, rising on the toes and hands. At the same time the head should be brought so far down that the chin comes up against the chest. Next, allow the body to come slowly down to a ‘sagging’ position. Bring the head up, causing it to be drawn as far back as possible.”

“The muscles should be tensed for a moment when the body is at the highest point, and again at the lowest point.”

SIXTH RITE:

“It should be practiced only when you feel an excess of sexual energy…” “Stand straight up and slowly let all of the air out of your lungs…bend over and put your hands on your knees…with the lungs empty, return to a straight up posture. Place your hands on your hips, and press down on them… As you do this, pull in the abdomen as much as possible, and at the same time raise the chest. … hold this position as long as you possibly can. … take air into your empty lungs, let the air flow in through the nose. When the lungs are full, exhale through the mouth. As you exhale, relax your arms… Then take several deep breaths through the mouth or nose, allowing them to escape through either the mouth or nose.”
